Geotechnical Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our technical services team at Clermont Open Cut.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and measuring geotechnical hazards, as well as high wall mapping and analysis of dumps and pit wall stability.
  • Installing and monitoring geotechnical devices such as IDS radar, Prisms, and Piezometers.
  • Collaborating closely with site technical services, operations teams, and geotechnical consultants.
  • Providing design and execution recommendations, as well as reviewing mine designs to ensure compliance.

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualification in Geotech Engineering.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Open Cut Coal Mining.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Able to liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and logical thinking.
  • QLD Drivers Licence.
