Job Description

We are seeking an individual to fill the Medical Receptionist role. This position involves being the face of our organisation, delivering high standards of service to patients and referrers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team and possess excellent time management skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Representing the organisation at the front desk by greeting patients.
  • Answering the telephone and responding to patient enquiries in an efficient and sensitive manner.
  • Making patient bookings while maximising appointment slots.
  • Informing patients of relevant preparation, costing estimates, and requirement to present relevant concession cards.
  • Actioning patient referrals as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
About You
  • Previous medical receptionist experience is desired but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively.
  • Excellent keyboard skills for data entry into our system.
  • EFTPOS and cash handling skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
