Salary and BenefitsAs a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse with Uniting AgeWell, you can expect to receive above award hourly rates, salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 + $2,650 annually, and annual leave loading. Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Lead Nurse Specialist to provide leadership and supervision to Personal Care Workers and support Registered Nurses in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to residents at Uniting AgeWell – Preston. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting a harmonious team approach, analyzing risk, implementing strategies, and participating in clinical handover with Registered Nurses.
You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver nursing care to residents with complex needs, including palliative care, dementia support, restorative care, and pain management. Your expertise will be essential in assessing and care planning processes, documentation, and evaluation of care outcomes.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must hold current registration with AHPRA as a Medication Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (Div 2) and have experience working in residential aged care or home care. We encourage applicants who possess skills in decision-making, critical analysis, and problem-solving, as well as excellent communication and delegation abilities.
In addition, you must be able to pass a national police clearance and have Australian working rights. While a flu vaccination and Working With Children Check card are not mentioned in the original job description, these are common requirements for roles in the aged care industry.
