We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Officer or Specialist General Medicine professional to join our team at Southern NSW Local Health District. As a Staff Specialist or Visiting Medical Officer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our medical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide contemporary comprehensive Specialist General Medicine services to patients, delivering optimal outcomes and promoting a healthy community.
- Lead clinical teams, participate in quality improvement activities, and provide training and education to clinicians across multiple disciplines.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality education and safe clinical practice.
- Participate in on-call rosters and respond to site calls within a reasonable timeframe.
- Eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist General Physician, or equivalent international medical pathways.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in General Medicine at the role delineation of the service.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to teaching, continuing education, research, and quality improvement.
