In this office-based role, with occasional onsite or offshore support requirements, you'll guarantee the technical integrity of all survey inputs and deliverables to projects and tenders. Your primary responsibilities include acting as a survey technical point of contact before, during, and after projects; providing technical input to projects and tenders; and assisting project managers, the Technical Manager – Survey and Inspection, and the Data Centre Coordinator to ensure all project data is secured on the server following completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a survey technical point of contact before, during, and after projects
  • Provide technical input to projects and tenders from early phase through to final deliverable
  • Assist Project Managers, the Technical Manager – Survey and Inspection, and the Data Centre Coordinator to ensure all project data is secured on the server following completion of projects
  • Assist in project preparation and project close-out reports to facilitate effective data management and good communication with relevant Managers
  • Liaise with clients to ensure all project objectives are met and in compliance with client contract requirements
  • Involved in the selection of appropriate hardware and software to ensure technical specifications are met according to client requirements and within operational budget
  • Development and maintenance of internal documents within the Survey Department such as Work Instructions, Task Plans, Guidelines, and Workbooks
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor Degree level qualification in a Hydrographic Surveying / Surveying
  • Completion of Party Chief competencies or equivalent as per IMCA requirements, is desirable
  • AHSCP Level 1 is desirable
  • 5-10 years of Hydrographic Survey offshore field experience
  • 2+ years of Party Chief, Project or Operational management experience
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly MS Excel
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills
  • Demonstrated safety awareness

We estimate the salary for this role to be around AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
