Landcare Trainee

We are seeking trainees to join our team as Conservation and Land Care Trainees. This role is focused on providing conservation and land care services to the community, including nurturing and maintaining landscapes and understanding local flora and fauna.
The successful candidates will complete an accredited training program and be provided with hands-on tasks that align with the learning. The training will cover topics such as seed identification and cultivation, basic nursery work, waste management innovations, garden planning and design, and tool maintenance.
- Must be eligible to work in Australia
- Willingness to learn about conservation, ecosystem management, and natural environment
- A passion for the outdoors and aspirations for a career in conservation and/or land care
- Must hold or be eligible to hold a Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Own transport and/or access to reliable transport may be required

The YMCA offers a comprehensive induction training program and participants will be provided with support to find employment at completion of their Traineeship.
Trainees will complete a Certificate I in Conservation and Ecosystem Management as part of the paid traineeship.
