Primary Education Specialist

Catholic Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join our vibrant community in Granville. This co-educational Catholic school provides a comprehensive education from Kindergarten to Year 6, offering a balanced and caring learning environment focused on the needs of each child.
About the RoleThis rewarding position involves teaching students across Kindergarten to Year 6, structuring lessons to cater to their physical, social, and intellectual development. The ideal candidate will create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and challenging learning environment, implementing fair and equitable behaviour management plans.
The teacher will also interpret and use student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning and challenge students to improve their performance. They will effectively manage the learning cycle, including planning for learning and assessment, developing learning programs, teaching, assessing, providing feedback on student learning, and reporting to parents/carers.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers about student progress
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An understanding of contemporary pedagogical approaches for primary years learners
- Knowledge of the content and sequence of Key Learning Areas
- Knowledge of online and multimedia programs to support student learning
- A natural aptitude and drive to work within a collaborative team environment
- Well-developed communication, administration, and interpersonal skills
- A willingness to learn and commit to your own professional development
Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) is essential, along with a tertiary qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete), and valid accreditation for employment purposes.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is estimated at around $70,000-$90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
