Alfred Health is a leading provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services. We are seeking a Sonographer to provide high-quality ultrasound examinations ensuring patient comfort, welfare, and safety in accordance with established practice, ethics and code of conduct.

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive diagnostic imaging services, including echocardiography, obstetric scanning and musculoskeletal assessments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality ultrasound examinations, adhering to established protocols and guidelines;
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients, colleagues and other healthcare professionals;
  • Participate in continuing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies;
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.
Qualifications & Experience Required

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in Sonography or equivalent, and be registered with ASAR to practice as a Sonographer. They will also possess evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in line with registration requirements, and good communication skills.
