Job Description

Kent Place School is seeking an experienced Varsity Assistant Track Coach to join our team for the 2024/25 season. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the fundamentals of track and field, with prior coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the proper supervision of student-athletes at practices, games, and on school-provided transportation. They will also model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.

We are looking for someone who can work effectively with others, possessing excellent communication skills and strong administrative abilities. The candidate should be able to motivate players to reach their potential and have exceptional leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain proper supervision of student-athletes at practices, games, and on school-provided transportation.
  • Model sports-like behavior and maintain appropriate conduct towards players, officials, and spectators.
  • Work effectively with others, possessing excellent communication skills and strong administrative abilities.
  • Motivate players to reach their potential and exhibit exceptional leadership skills.

Additional Duties:

  • Attend a mandatory preseason training session with the Athletic Department.
  • Participate in special activities, awards nights, admission panels, open houses, and pep assemblies.
  • Complete all coaching accreditation modules and KPS training.
