Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing the production and operations functions of John Cain Arena and the broader Melbourne & Olympic Parks precinct.
  • Contribute to the leadership and continuous growth of our dedicated operations team through leadership support and operational guidance.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager to collaborate with clients, business partners, stakeholders, and event delivery teams to plan and execute events.
  • Provide support and contribute to the overall success of multiple functions within the event environment.
  • Ensure operational excellence, detailed planning, and risk management.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in event operations planning and delivery within an arena, major stadium, events centre, or mixed entertainment environment.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to balance competing demands and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and able to understand and align efforts with the bigger picture.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and out-of-ordinary business hours.
