Job Overview

A skilled technician is required to maintain and repair bitumen tankers used in road construction and surfacing projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine inspections, diagnose mechanical faults, and perform preventative maintenance on tank systems.
  • Maintain the integrity of heating systems that keep bitumen at optimal temperature during transport and unloading.
  • Carry out welding and fabrication repairs, monitor and calibrate temperature and pressure controls.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety, environmental, and transport standards.
Requirements:
  • Experience with burner systems and pipework.
  • Welding and fabrication skills.
  • Understanding of hazardous materials handling (especially hot bitumen).
  • Strong safety awareness and personal protective equipment compliance.
