We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced QC Microbiologist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our microbiology laboratory, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our biopharmaceutical products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform microbiological testing and associated tasks, including bioburden testing and environmental monitoring.
  • Participate in activities related to analytical method verification and QC test strategy.
  • Conduct growth promotion testing of microbiological media and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Responsible for stock control within the Microbiology laboratory and perform all work in a safe manner.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives and prepare, maintain, and improve the quality of microbiological generated documents.
  • Provide microbiological technical support and input into Quality related issues and communicate effectively across departments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in adherence to GMP standards and conduct studies following the latest guidelines.
  • Perform training of QC Microbiology staff and other staff as required.
Requirements
  • Tertiary Science qualification with experience in laboratory testing, good aseptic technique, and validation required for the bio-pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience of working in a manufacturing or laboratory environment with knowledge of bio-pharmaceutical processes and pharmaceutical guidelines preferred.
  • Background in Microbiology and/or related field with familiarity with principles of maintaining a sterile environment and conducting microbiological tests.
  • Knowledge of GLP, cGMP, and Quality Principles.
  • Proven record of ability to work as a team member and independently as required.
