About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our Trade and Production team in the Maritime, Ship Repair Services domain.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality welding tasks using manual or semi-automatic equipment in various positions (down-hand, horizontal, vertical or overhead).
  • Fabricate steel structures from drawings or samples in various types of metals.
  • Operate workshop machinery and maintain mechanical workshops.
  • Manage stores and welding equipment, performing repairs and testing as needed.
  • Carry out multi-skilled activities in all aspects of ship repair, including light and heavy fabrication, sheet metal pipe fabrication.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in the ship building/repair industry or other heavy engineering fields such as Mining, Marine, Power Stations, Gas Lines or Bridges.

You must hold appropriate trade qualifications in Welding fabrication Heavy and be familiar with all welding processes (GMAW and MMAW).

Familiarity with marine practices, ship layout, and technical interpretation is also essential.
