Technical Training Specialist role at a leading organization.

About this opportunity:

We are seeking skilled and experienced trainers to deliver high-quality training for Mechanical Apprentices and Tradespeople. This vital role plays a key part in supporting workforce capability through hands-on instruction, assessment, and mentoring in a dynamic and safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver approved technical trade training packages to apprentices and tradespeople.
  • Design and maintain training plans, packages, and supporting documentation.
  • Supervise and mentor training groups and individuals.
  • Prepare and submit apprentice progress reports and contribute to skills development evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and maintain a safe training environment.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant trade certification.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment preferable.
  • Trade experience in heavy engineering or shipbuilding is preferred.
  • Strong communication and report writing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in managing technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated integrity, accountability, and initiative.
  • Effective team player with the ability to motivate and support others.

This role requires a current national police clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance to a NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
