Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our heritage advisory team. As Associate Director - Heritage, you will be responsible for providing strategic and practical leadership on heritage matters.

This role is ideal for a heritage professional with expertise in building conservation and statutory heritage planning. You will have a strong working knowledge of Western Australian and national heritage frameworks.

You will lead the development of high-quality heritage reports and projects, mentoring junior and mid-level staff in the process. Your exceptional written and verbal communication skills will enable you to prepare winning proposals and tenders, securing new opportunities and strengthening client relationships.

  • Provide informed strategic advice on heritage assessments, conservation management plans, interpretation planning, archival recording, architectural conservation supervision, and expert witness services.
  • Lead the delivery of high-quality heritage reports and projects, developing and implementing effective strategies to achieve project goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Heritage Conservation, or a closely related discipline.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in heritage advisory, planning, or conservation.
  • Advanced appreciation of Australian historical architecture, construction methods, and traditional building fabric.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality heritage assessments and reporting across a range of heritage-listed places.
  • Strong working knowledge of Western Australian and national heritage legislation, policies, and statutory planning processes.
