The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a qualified lawyer to join our team as a Senior Corporate Lawyer. You will be responsible for managing new and existing franchise agreements, advising on the nuances of franchise law, and ensuring compliance to franchise law and company expectations.
- You will support the leasing of sites nationally, acting on behalf of the company, while advising franchise owners on their legal options and providing them with adequate support.
- You will provide legal input to strategy meetings within the company, focusing on sales and operations, as well as corporate topics.
To be successful in this role, you must be a qualified lawyer with an unrestricted practising certificate. Previous experience in franchise law and/or leasing is preferable, but if you are still new in these areas and willing to learn autonomously, we encourage you to apply.
- You should be an independent worker who can manage your workload autonomously and be trusted to deliver results.
- You must be able to develop expertise in broader areas through exposure and have a willingness to proactively develop the position into a General Counsel role.
- Able to work 1-2 days per week from our office in Fitzroy and spend time with our teams to ensure they feel comfortable asking for legal advice when needed.
We offer a positive working environment with flexible arrangements to suit caregiver responsibilities, hybrid WFH setups, direct exposure to C-Suite reporting to CFO, and working closely with CEO. Additionally, you will receive discount vouchers for franchise locations, a salary of $130k-$150k + super + bonus, and more.
