Expert Sonography Educator Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced sonographer to fill a unique role that combines clinical expertise with education and leadership. This is a pivotal opportunity for a professional who excels in both clinical practice and mentorship.

About the Role

You will play a crucial part in the development of postgraduate and undergraduate student sonographers, contributing to their growth through 1:1 training and ongoing support. Your duties will include:

  • Providing individualized training and guidance to postgraduate students over a 24-month period
  • Overseeing independent scanning duties and skill progression, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and operational requirements
  • Managing student workflow using digital platforms, optimizing efficiency and meeting clinical demands
  • SUPPORTINGand acting in absence, maintaining continuity in training and supervision
  • Conducting regular check-ins and competency assessments, tracking progress through online platforms
  • Providing constructive feedback and reporting on student performance, professional behavior, and patient care
  • Taking on undergraduate students for clinical blocks, integrating them seamlessly into practice
  • Participating in professional development opportunities, including tutor meetings and training sessions
  • Maintaining a balance between teaching and clinical responsibilities, typically managing a caseload of 16 patients per day
