Located on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, our team is seeking a skilled Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our workshop. This is an exciting opportunity for a trade-qualified and experienced individual to contribute to the maintenance, servicing, and repair of our heavy vehicles and plant equipment.

About The Role

This full-time position reports to the Supervisor Mechanical Services and provides a high level of assistance to the workshop team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing heavy vehicles and plant equipment.
  • Assisting in the training and development of apprentices.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A trade certificate relevant to the position.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a mechanical workshop.
  • Proven experience with hydraulics, pumps, welding, and heavy plant repairs.
  • Proven knowledge of plant operation capabilities and associated maintenance and repair requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in directing and supervising apprentices and contractors, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
