About the Role
Pace Appointments has partnered with a leading manufacturer of specialized equipment for the mining and mineral processing industries. With over 35 years of experience, this client is renowned for producing high-quality, high-performance machines.

Main Responsibilities
The CNC Machinist will work under the supervision of the machining supervisor and be responsible for programming and operating CNC Machining / Turning Centres. This role involves ensuring that all machined parts are completed to a high standard of workmanship, conforming to established specifications while maintaining safe work practices.

Key Tasks
  • Examine and interpret engineering drawings to plan machining tasks
  • Program machines by entering instructions and calculating requirements as needed
  • Complete documentation, including Quality Assurance data sheets and end-of-shift changeover sheets
  • Maintain and operate machining equipment
  • Adhere to site Health, Safety & Environment Policies and Procedures at all times

Requirements
  • Certificate III in Engineering (Machining) or similar trade qualification
  • Exceptional precision machining skills and a strong appreciation of quality in a low-volume, high-value environment
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills
  • Ability to approach situations with a positive attitude
  • Effective written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • Current QLD 'C' Class Open Drivers licence
  • Physical capability for extended standing periods
