About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our Commercial and Procurement function as a Commercial or Senior Commercial Lead, supporting Business Development.

The role will be based in our Canberra Kingston office and will see you responsible for managing commercial and contract aspects in relation to major and high-profile Defence and Federal government tenders.

You will work closely with the Business Development and Capture Managers to win new work by reviewing and advising on Approach to Market documents from the Commonwealth, leading commercial engagement with potential project partners and subcontractors, and authoring tender responses to the Commonwealth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the management of commercial and contract aspects in relation to major and high-profile Defence and Federal government tenders
  • Reviewing and advising on Approach to Market documents from the Commonwealth
  • Leading commercial engagement with potential project partners and subcontractors
  • Authoring tender responses to the Commonwealth
Required Skills and Qualifications

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues, and develop relationships to achieve the company's objectives.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Experience working with the Commonwealth and suppliers, including preparing RFQs and negotiating in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience with Defence ASDEFCON procurement and contracting templates
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in tight timeframes
