Public Law Team Support Role

The Legal Assistant role in our Public Law team based in Melbourne is an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal assistant to work on day-to-day administration and the following tasks:
- Opening and closing files;
- Completing client billing and reports;
- Answering phone calls and assisting with matter enquiries;
- Scheduling appointments, court events and diary management;
- Preparation and reconciliation of expenses;
- Organising events and functions; and
- Other administrative support required by solicitors.
The ideal candidate will be a career legal assistant with at least two years' experience or alternatively, we are open to considering law students with at least one year of experience, have at least two years remaining in their degree, and can work a minimum of four days per week.
Responsibilities include being professional, having excellent organisational and communication skills, focusing on client service, proficient in Word and Excel, and capable of prioritising tasks, displaying initiative, having good attention to detail, and a proven history of meeting deadlines.
