The Friendly Society Private Hospital is a leading acute care facility in the Bundaberg and Wide Bay regions, providing high-quality healthcare services since 1946.
We are seeking an experienced Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join our busy Surgical and Orthopaedic Units, requiring strong clinical skills for managing acutely unwell post-surgery patients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering exceptional patient care with demonstrated skill in clinical decision making and hands-on care-giving for acute surgical conditions
- Applying accurate clinical assessment procedures to evaluate health status and identify timely care interventions for best patient outcomes
- Identifying when a more detailed assessment and/or intervention is required, and collaborating with clinical peers, General Practitioners, and other relevant health professionals
- Maintaining effective interpersonal and communication skills to enhance quality patient care, build team trust, and accuracy of clinical records
- Complying with current policies and procedures, and demonstrating an understanding of their implications for nursing practice

Requirements- Current registration with AHPRA
- Demonstrated acute surgical care experience, including patient management following general, urological, vascular, and endocrinological surgery
- Relevant medical experience gained in an acute environment, with knowledge and skills transferable to a surgical unit
- Effective communication, information sharing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary health teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust, promote confidence, and satisfaction with patients, families, and support persons
This opportunity offers an attractive salary package, with estimated annual earnings of $93,654 based on a competitive hourly rate.
