DPV Health is seeking a dedicated individual to lead music sessions for individuals with disabilities. This role presents an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others, while being part of a values-driven team.

The Centre-Based Disability Program is designed to provide engaging and interactive experiences for participants. As a music instructor, you will work closely with disability instructors to integrate music into the program, supporting participants in achieving their goals through creative expression and social interaction.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting staff in setting up and packing up music-related activities
  • Leading interactive music sessions tailored to participant abilities and interests
  • Encouraging and supporting participants in engaging with music, dance, and movement activities
  • Collaborating with disability instructors to incorporate music into broader recreational and skill-building activities
  • Maintaining a respectful and inclusive approach in all interactions with participants and staff

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Able to play a musical instrument (e.g., guitar, keyboard, percussion)
  • Experience in music performance, teaching, or facilitation (formal or informal)
  • A passion for using music as a tool for engagement and well-being
  • An understanding of disability support and inclusive practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Patient and empathetic, with the ability to adapt sessions to diverse needs
  • A commitment to working as part of a dynamic team
