Creative Apparel Designer

Job Description:
The role encompasses designing product ranges for Girlswear apparel and accessories that meet season trend statements and customer profiles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop on-brand product lines aligning with company image, option plans, price points, and margin in collaboration with the Design Manager
- Manage strategic design briefs, selecting seasonal color palettes and discussing trends in silhouette, fabric, and color
- Focus on target customers and attract new customers through the range with the Design Manager
- Collaborate to implement approved business initiatives through operational structures and ensure ownership
- Utilize forecasting information provided to contribute to the design brief and build range
- Complete necessary research, evolve, and collate relevant imagery for boards prior to Design meetings
- Prepare and present design briefs and ranges to stakeholders with the Design Manager
- Liaise and build relationships with key stakeholders to communicate styling and design concepts
Requirements:
- Experience building ranges incorporating core, seasonal, and aspirational elements
- Excellent communication skills, ability to work within a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to develop team member capability and succession
