Job Title: Research Equipment Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Research Equipment Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise to a range of undergraduate laboratory-based teaching programs.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Providing technical assistance to faculty members and students in the use of teaching equipment;
  • Contributing to method development and problem solving of standard procedures;
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of new techniques within the teaching laboratories;

In addition, you will be responsible for contributing to the safe working practices within the teaching laboratories and auxiliary facilities, including compliance with risk and waste management systems, and the routine maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive workplace culture.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Science or Technology;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
