About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Midwife to join our Public and Private Obstetrics and Gynaecology unit at Joondalup Health Campus.

The successful candidate will be required to act as a clinical and professional resource person, demonstrating broad knowledge and clinical expertise in all facets of Midwifery and Neonate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the education of all levels of staff by participating in department orientation, in-servicing, and clinical competence programs.
  • Undertake mental, social, and physical assessments, treatment, and delivery of continuing care/case management for Maternity patients and Neonates.
  • Make a valuable contribution to the Hospital Continuous Improvement process.
Requirements
  • Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Midwife.
  • Extensive midwifery experience demonstrating expert clinical and problem-solving skills.
  • A minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including 3 years' experience in maternity and obstetrics.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of Quality/Continuous Improvement processes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to uphold and promote the Ramsay Way core values.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to deliver quality patient care.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proven ability to function in a multi-disciplinary team.
