Companion Care Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a Companion Carer to join our team at Right at Home Townsville. As a Companion Carer, you will provide a caring, compassionate, and respectful service to our clients, enabling them to live independently at home.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal and domestic care to clients, including assistance with daily living activities, meal preparation, and household chores.
- Support clients with their daily routines, including medication management and transportation.
- Engage with clients in a friendly and respectful manner, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Australian National Police check or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Current first aid and CPR certificate or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
- Smart mobile phone.
- Driver's licence and your own car with fully comprehensive insurance or willingness to obtain prior to start date.
- Blue card or ability to obtain prior to start date.
Preferred Skills:
- A passion for respectfully empowering and caring for people.
- Ability to provide personal and domestic care.
- Willingness to learn new things, step out of your comfort zone, and take on feedback.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Flexible with changes to shifts and working times.
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- High level of time management and organisational ability.
- Willingness to participate in further education opportunities.
- Basic experience with technology, including smartphones, tablets, and basic use of emails.
