Job Opportunity: Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview:

As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting residents to live their lives with dignity and independence. Your key responsibility will be to assist residents with their daily needs, including personal care tasks and mobility support.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support residents to exercise choice and autonomy in their daily lives
  • Assist with daily hygiene, dressing, and continence management, ensuring the highest standards of personal care are maintained
  • Contribute to the physical, emotional, and lifestyle needs of residents through assessment and observation, identifying opportunities for improvement and development

Requirements:

  • Certificate Level III (Individual Support) qualification or equivalent experience
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workloads and manage competing demands, ensuring high-quality care is consistently delivered
  • Working knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and Infection Control principles, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff
