Job Summary:

The City of Armadale is seeking a skilled Environmental Maintenance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining our living streams sustainably and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete daily work reports and pesticide application records.
  • Contribute to progress reports on programmed regeneration and maintenance activities within the City's living streams and wetland areas.
  • Assist with the implementation of current living streams environmental management plans and programs under direction of the Leading Hand Living Streams.
  • Provide efficient and effective 'on-ground' works within the City's living streams and wetland reserves and natural areas relating to maintenance, capital and restoration works.
  • Assist in project implementation.
  • Assist in undertaking tasks relating to community enquiries on living streams and natural areas matters.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management or relevant equivalent qualification.
  • Current C class drivers' licence.
  • Native vegetation identification and familiarization of.
  • Natural vegetation regeneration/revegetation, particularly in riverine/wetland areas.
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound interpersonal and customer service skills.
