Senior Theatre Manager Opportunity

This challenging and rewarding senior theatre manager role offers an experienced perioperative nurse the opportunity to lead a high-performing operating theatre team in a growing environment.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading day-to-day operations of the operating theatres and related recovery facilities, including rostering, resource allocation, problem solving, and mentoring staff.

  • Roster management and resource allocation to ensure efficient patient care.
  • Mentoring and developing staff to uphold policies and professional standards.
  • Contribution to quality improvement initiatives and best practice.
  • Leadership within a collaborative team and participation in a 7-day roster including on-call shifts.

The department supports a wide range of surgical specialties and involves day-to-day running of the department such as resource allocations, problem solving and mentoring staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading day-to-day operations of the operating theatres and related recovery facilities.
  • Ensuring efficient and high-quality patient care through roster management and resource allocation.

  • Contributing to quality improvement, education and research initiatives when applicable.
  • Providing leadership within a collaborative team and participating in a 7-day roster including on-call shifts.
