Job Description

As an Electrical Tradesperson at our operation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient maintenance of electrical infrastructure facilities and large-scale mining equipment. This includes assisting with servicing, inspection, repair and maintenance of mine infrastructure facilities as directed in accordance with our maintenance systems.

You will work closely with the Electrical Supervisor to support day-to-day operations, including planning execution, projects and parts sourcing. Your responsibilities will also include completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change-outs to a high standard.

Additionally, you will be responsible for installation and maintenance of machine guidance technology and fleet management, as well as installing new infrastructure facilities as required. You will source technical information from relevant reference manuals, OEM and computer-based systems.

Other key responsibilities include maintaining digital radio infrastructure, assisting with wireless and hardwire network maintenance, conducting regular inspections to maximise equipment utilisation and ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained at all times.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Electrical Trade Certificate of Proficiency
  • Sound knowledge of AS/NZS 3000 & 3007
  • Electrical Supervisor/Contractor's Licence as issued by the Department of Fair Trading
  • Current CPR and Low Voltage Rescue Certification
