About This Role

We are seeking a Municipal Services Coordinator to join our team on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe and effective selection, operation and maintenance of plant, machinery, tools and equipment
  • Carry out routine maintenance of parks, reserves and sports grounds, as well as maintenance and general clean-up of roads and other council-maintained land
  • Conduct basic safety checks and report defects to appropriate supervisors
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Federal or State legislation and regulations

Requirements:

  • Ability to work flexible hours in various conditions with exposure to weather elements
  • Ability to operate Plant & Equipment such as bobcats, front end loaders, forklifts
  • Light Rigid, Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid license preferred but not essential
  • Demonstrated capacity to learn the use of new equipment and procedures
  • Reliability and attendance at each shift is essential
  • Understanding of Occupational Health and Safety requirements
  • Ability to lift heavy materials as required
