Job Overview

Citadel Securities is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer - Intern to join our team. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated solutions to improve application reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve system issues
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and logging tools to ensure system visibility
  • Participate in on-call rotations to ensure prompt incident resolution
  • Contribute to the development of new features and tools to improve system reliability and performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Strong background in computer science fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems
  • Proficiency in at least one modern structured programming language (Python or Java preferred)
  • Experience with software development tools and practices (testing, source control, build systems, CI/CD)
  • SQL and database experience a strong plus
  • Web UI experience (javascript, CSS, React) a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit
  • A passion for learning, adapting to changing requirements and technology, and inventing new approaches to hard problems
