Rydges Melbourne is a vibrant hotel located in the heart of Australia's cultural capital. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Groups Reservations Sales Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process all room reservations from various booking channels to maximize hotel revenue.
  • Coordinate group reservation requests through telephone, email, and other channels.
  • Maintain the Group Reservations email inbox and meet efficiency targets.
  • Work closely with the Sales and Revenue Departments regarding group rates and requirements.
  • Manage group booking workflow using the CRM and ensure accurate entry of group reservation requests and contracts.
  • Follow up on all group reservation proposals and ensure contracts are signed.
  • Enter all confirmed group bookings into the hotel's system, ensuring accurate rate codes, rates, room types, and market segments.
  • Coordinate all group reservations, paying attention to amendments, group requests, rooming lists, room allocations, deposits, and final invoices.
  • Communicate group requirements and special requests to the appropriate departments and follow up to ensure fulfillment.

Requirements:
  • Experience with hotel management systems, preferably Opera PMS.
  • Excellent attention to detail and exceptional telephone etiquette.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle a high volume of calls and emails.
  • Strong customer service skills with a sales focus.
