Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical support to the Security Operations Centre (SOC) with a focus on threat hunting, leveraging cutting-edge tools and methodologies.
  • Develop and mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and experience in cybersecurity.
  • Drive continuous improvement of threat hunting and SOC capabilities, staying ahead of emerging threats through ongoing skill development.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance Westpac's security posture, utilizing advanced digital forensics expertise to support incident response and investigations. The position also includes mentoring junior team members and leading initiatives to strengthen overall security capabilities.

Requirements:
  • 8+ years in a cybersecurity role, with leadership experience highly desirable but not necessary.
  • In-depth experience in Threat Hunting, Digital Forensics, and Incident Response tools, including cyber incident management.
  • Relevant industry-recognised qualifications highly desirable.
