
Language Development Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with educators to develop and implement effective language and literacy programs.
The successful candidate will have substantial knowledge and experience in speech, language and literacy within the context of Western Australia's public education system. They will also have highly developed research, conceptual and analytical skills, including the ability to use data to inform change and generate innovative solutions to complex problems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing high-quality consultancy, coaching and professional learning to regional and school communities
- Developing, implementing and reviewing language and literacy programs for students with speech, language and literacy difficulties and disorders
- Liaising with organisations and research institutions to maintain and develop professional, up-to-date skills
The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate highly developed negotiation, consultation and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build collaborative partnerships with a range of people across settings.

- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa with relevant work rights
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check before starting
- Ability to consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department's Screening Unit before starting
