Support Worker Role

Make a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals as a dedicated support worker. This role involves providing continuity of care and working seamlessly with existing staff to deliver exceptional service.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assistance with daily hygiene and personal care
  • Meal preparation and supervision of shopping activities
  • Medication administration and supervision
  • Daily activities such as washing or cleaning
  • Transporting individuals to appointments and facilitating community participation
  • Providing companionship and emotional support
  • Prompting positive routines and behaviors
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum Certificate 3 in Disability, Mental Health, Individual Support, Aged Care, Nursing, or Health Services Assistant
  • Current Nursing student (completed Cert III equivalent placements)
  • Willingness to obtain relevant qualifications and skills

Additional Considerations
  • Manual Handling training and certification
  • Experience working with individuals with psychosocial disabilities, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar, BPD, Autism, Alzheimer's, and Huntington's
