Hyperbaric Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hyperbaric Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and maintaining equipment.

About the Role

The Hyperbaric Technician is responsible for the safe operation of the hyperbaric chamber, assisting nursing staff with patient care, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and multidisciplinary team, delivering therapeutic hyperbaric services to emergency and non-emergency patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the hyperbaric chamber safely and efficiently
  • Assist nursing staff with patient care, including preparation and administration of treatments
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to infection control and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to deliver high-quality patient care and maintain accurate records

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience operating life support equipment, preferably in a hospital or offshore setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • A certificate or diploma in applied science, laboratory technology, or a related field
  • A current Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme Chamber Operator Course or relevant International Marine Contractors Association accreditation
