Job Description:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in culinary arts, with a proven track record of creating delectable dishes that exceed expectations. Key responsibilities include:

• Developing innovative menu items that showcase creativity and flair
• Collaborating with senior chefs to optimize menu offerings and manage costs effectively
• Preparing and presenting high-quality food that meets exacting standards
• Elevating the flavor profile of our dishes through expert seasoning techniques
• Maintaining precise temperatures of ovens, grills, and cooking equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Creating and managing menus, including developing new dishes and recipes
• Supervising kitchen personnel and coordinating efforts to meet restaurant needs
• Conducting inventory checks and placing supply orders as necessary
• Estimating restaurant expenses encompassing food, labor, and miscellaneous items
• Overseeing food preparation to maintain consistently high standards
• Ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and updating policies regularly as needed
• Providing guidance and training to kitchen staff and apprentices, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

Requirements:

• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
