Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and specifications.
  • Fabricate, modify, and repair mechanical components using lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drills.
  • Assemble machines and mechanical systems with precision, ensuring alignment and correct fit.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of machinery to identify and rectify faults.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed.
  • Assist with the installation of new machinery and mechanical systems.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules to minimise downtime.
  • Perform site work across various industries as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Our ideal candidate will hold a Trade Certificate – Cert III in Engineering Mechanical Trade (MEM30298) and have minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.

They will possess strong experience in production and jobbing machining, and maintenance fitting. Ability to diagnose and solve mechanical problems is also crucial.

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, and quality control is essential. Additionally, they will need a High-risk forklift licence, vehicle licence, and White Card.

A positive 'can-do' attitude and hands-on approach to achieving results are key attributes of our ideal candidate. They must be available to support business needs through overtime when required.

Desirable skills include Working at Heights, Confined Space, High-Risk EWP / Scissor Lift, Hydraulics / Pneumatics, Dogging / Rigging.
