About the RoleWe are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team on a high-profile rail/civil project in Parramatta, NSW. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for driving real change in the HSE space and ensuring that all works are completed in accordance with required contract conditions, standards, and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and conduct project audits in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule and undertake periodic reviews.
- Monitor and proactively engage the Project Leaders and direct HSE Reports to effectively manage the close out of Non-Conformance Reports arising from audits and corrective action arising from incident investigations.
- Positively influence the health and safety culture and performance of the project.
- You will have a relevant Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health & Safety combined with at least 10 years' extensive experience on large-scale construction projects, ideally in Australia.
- You will have demonstrated audit experience and the ability to coach and develop safety peers and project personnel in Health, Safety, and Environment.
- You will have leadership experience and a strong understanding of the importance of safety culture and performance.
