The successful candidate will assist in implementing, monitoring and evaluating the Food Safety Program (FSP) under the guidance of the Chef/Cook. They will also provide quality food and beverages that meet residents' individual needs and preferences.
To be considered, each candidate must satisfy the legislative requirements of Aged Care Worker Screening to ensure suitability to work in the aged care industry.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation, serving, presentation and delivery of meals and beverages to residents, ensuring they meet individual dietary requirements and preferences as specified by the dietician, speech therapist or clinical care team.
- Contribute to menu planning and the implementation, monitoring and documentation of the Food Safety Program (FSP) in partnership with the Chef Supervisor.
- Ensure stock items are reported for ordering and maintain a clean and safe work environment by promoting safe work practices.
- Support the ongoing quality review of the FSP, including tasks like recording temperatures and receipting goods.
- Ensure timely and friendly delivery of meals and report any concerns regarding food and beverages to the Registered Nurse in charge.
