Role Overview:
Talent Focus is seeking a dynamic leader to oversee the ANZ sales operations of a global orthopaedic company. This role offers a rare opportunity to lead from the front in a highly impactful and rewarding position, driving sales growth and shaping culture within the medical devices sector.
About the Role:
The ANZ Sales Director will be at the helm of a growing team, responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance revenue, customer relationships, and market presence. This hands-on leader will work closely with senior management and cross-functional teams to set ambitious goals, align efforts, and drive operational excellence.
Main Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Set and achieve sales targets, define strategic objectives, and ensure the team is equipped with the tools, training, and support to exceed expectations.
- Team Development & Culture: Foster an inclusive, dynamic, and high-performance culture that encourages growth, resilience, and accountability within your team.
- Strategy & Execution: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on sales strategies, and drive market penetration and brand growth in line with company goals.
- Client Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, surgical teams, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with their needs and our service excellence standards.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor actions, and emerging opportunities, and translate this intelligence into actionable insights for the team.
- Performance Tracking: Monitor team performance, implement improvements where needed, and provide regular reports to senior management on sales activities, growth opportunities, and areas of development.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in orthopaedic sales management or in leading medical device teams focused on operating theatres and procedural sales
- Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build, inspire, and retain high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets, with an analytical mindset and the ability to adapt strategies based on market feedback
- Highly skilled in stakeholder engagement and relationship building, with a customer-first mindset
- Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, and a willingness to work closely with team members at all levels to drive success
- Collaborative and proactive, with strong business acumen and a commitment to personal and team development
