Primary Teacher Opportunities

We are seeking experienced primary teachers to join our school community. The successful applicants will have the opportunity to work with Years 3-6 students, developing their capabilities in Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) while adhering to the Australian Curriculum.

The HASS Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the needs of students with diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and consistent approach to teaching and learning
  • Engaging students in inquiry-based learning, promoting critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Championing and enhancing the profile of HASS across the school through projects, clubs, and showcases

In addition to the HASS Teacher role, we are also seeking a PLD Mentor to support the implementation of our Synthetic Phonics Program. The PLD Mentor will work closely with teachers to develop capability and ensure the program is managed with fidelity within the school.

The PLD Mentor will be responsible for:

  • Supporting teachers with the implementation of PLD across their classes
  • Modeling lessons for staff from Prep-6
  • Observing staff lessons and providing feedback
  • Supporting data management and capturing student progress using PLD's spreadsheet
  • Liaising with the PLD team on a regular basis
  • Inducting new staff into PLD and leading staff capability sessions

To be successful in these roles, you will need:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Current full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a teacher in Queensland
  • Working rights in Australia
