At our learning institution, we strive to provide high-quality education that empowers students to reach their full potential. Our diverse student body contributes significantly to the richness of our educational programs, and we celebrate this diversity through various initiatives.
We focus on designing engaging learning experiences that cater to each student's strengths and needs. Literacy, numeracy, and empowerment are core components of our curriculum. Our literacy program includes explicit direct instruction and phonics for early years, while numeracy is delivered through balanced pedagogy combining direct instruction and problem-based learning. Other subjects feature explicit direct instruction, problem-based learning, and project-based work.
We promote student achievement through regular conferences, reporting, awards, and exhibitions. Our Digital Technology program brings real-world learning to students, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. Students can develop their talents and passions through performing arts, music, and Stephanie Alexander Garden Program. Our Year 9 'Futures' and Electives Programs equip students with necessary skills for shaping their future.
Student leadership, voice, and agency are central to our work. Students make decisions about their learning and the institution's direction through Student Action Teams. We have invested in specialist programs underpinned by the Berry Street Education Model, Resilience, and Respectful Relationships. Additional supports include Hands on Learning Program, Student Wellbeing space, and Inclusive Education Centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback. They will also contribute to the development of curriculum programs and participate in professional development opportunities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in teaching primary-level French and knowledge of relevant curriculum standards. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to establish collaborative relationships with students, parents, and staff, are essential.
