Senior Construction Inspector Job Overview

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Inspector to join our skilled team in Maine.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of bridge and highway construction projects, meticulously measuring, calculating quantities, and documenting work via detailed reports, photos, and sketches.
  • Oversee and coordinate the inspection documentation process, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify that all work adheres to MaineDOT specifications.
  • Apply project plans, policies, standards, and specifications to inform critical decision-making.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and facilitate effective communication across all project levels.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with on-site stakeholders, resolving any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a Construction Inspector on federally-aided transportation projects is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with MaineDOT or municipal clients and general and highway construction principles is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required, along with a valid Driver's License.
  • Strong mathematical and communication skills are essential, as well as proficiency with computers and software.
  • The ability to work outdoors for extended periods is necessary, with fluency in English both written and verbally.
