Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to join our Internal Communications team on a 3-6 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering all internal communications and working across enterprise communications projects.

This critical role will require the development and delivery of communications plans and messaging for an internal audience through various channels including the intranet, all-employee updates, events, digital screens, videos and other mediums. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing all aspects of corporate events and logistics in a hybrid Teams environment.

The Communications Specialist will be required to:

  • Develop and deliver internal communications plans to drive improved employee engagement
  • Create engaging content in line with agreed plans, that showcases business activities and initiatives, and drives clear calls to action for employees utilising internal channels
  • Develop content for executive updates to employees
  • Establish and maintain best practice communication campaigns and channels for internal communications
  • Support the delivery of internal change management plans, including engaging with relevant stakeholders and developing communications plans and materials
  • Measure and analyse internal communications results to inform and improve current and future communication plans
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Journalism, Communications or Public Relations
  • Minimum five years' experience in corporate communications, stakeholder or public relations
  • Proven internal communications experience
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with a demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines and in a high-pressure, dynamic corporate environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the proven ability to translate complex language into plain English
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality written material for a range of audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong and effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • High level of organisational and administrative skills
  • Experience with Microsoft products, with a focus on SharePoint
