Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and safety-oriented individual to join our manufacturing team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our manufacturing processes. You will support the Operations team in delivering products that meet quality specifications and timelines, in accordance with the manufacturing plan. Additionally, you will contribute your technical expertise to optimize processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Trade Qualification as a Fitter and Turner or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, preferably in an FMCG Manufacturing or Production setting
- Experience in plastic manufacturing is advantageous but not mandatory
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience
- Commitment to Workplace Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
- Experience with predictive maintenance and continuous improvement methodologies
- Effective planning and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities
- A proactive and adaptable approach to addressing operational challenges in a dynamic environment
- Forklift License, EWP, and fabrication skills are highly desirable
