Paediatrician Specialist

Job Summary
This is a general Paediatric service role at Gawler Health Service, with a focus on meeting the needs of the local community. The successful candidate will engage in clinical practice as determined by the Director of Medical Services, and adhere to policies, protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality medical practice.
Key Responsibilities
- To develop and implement a comprehensive Paediatric service plan that meets the needs of the local community
- To provide high-quality consultant services to inpatients of Gawler Health Service and affiliated agencies
- To contribute to clinical audits, safety and quality activities, and service planning meetings to maintain quality outcomes and standards of practice
- To participate in teaching and education programs within the hospital
- To prepare statements and reports as requested by the Director of Medical Services
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have Fellowship of the RACP (or equivalent), eligible for registration as a Specialist with the Medical Board of South Australia. They will also be able to work effectively in a team environment and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Arrangements
The role is part-time, working 1 day a week (including on-call) with multiple permanent positions available. The successful candidate will be required to participate in an annual performance appraisal process and attend mandatory in-service training programs as determined by SA Health.
Salary
The estimated salary range for this role is $372,783 - $483,861 p.a. (pro-rata).
