As a Flight Deck Coordinator (equivalent to Aviation Support Personnel in military terms), you will be responsible for directing ground movements for both domestic and international helicopters, ensuring a secure aviation environment on the ship's flight decks.

Your role will encompass support for aviation operations, humanitarian efforts at sea, and assistance with aviation activities on land at the Naval Air Station.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Aircraft marshalling (using visual and hand signals with pilots)
  • Transporting aircraft with tow vehicles and lifts
  • Executing launch and landing protocols
  • Managing aircraft storage
  • Conducting fuelling operations
  • Facilitating utility and vertical replenishment missions
  • Implementing aircraft rescue operations (including firefighting and emergency response)
  • Overseeing inventory management
  • Performing aircraft inspections

As a member of the naval team, you will acquire additional skills and responsibilities to become highly proficient in supporting the entire ship. This may involve roles in ship security, firefighting, damage control, replenishment at sea, ammunition handling, first aid, or line management.
